 "Words to Stir the Soul"--The Center of the American West's eighth annual event is a celebration of the rich literary history of the American West. Several different readers focus on works that have "stirred their souls". Readers include Mayor Hickenlooper, City Councilwoman Rosemary Rodriguez, Lakewood Mayor Steve Burkholder, and other authors, politicians, students, etc. The event will be held at the Lodo Tattered Cover, 16th and Wynkoop Streets in Denver. MWA member, Manuel Ramos will read from Luis Alberto Urrea's spectacular book, The Devil's Highway. This is always a great night--you should stop by.

 Christine Goff will be presenting a workshop entitled Promotion 101, and speaking on a panel about Niche Mysteries at the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers "Colorado Gold Conference" in Denver. One of the premier writers conferences in the nation. Also appearing is Stephanie Kane. She will present two workshops, "Designing Scenes" and "10 Questions You Were Afraid to Ask."
